Luhrmann makes the Capulets ball a glitzy affair with every frame dripping wealth. The film is beautifully shot with vivid and bizarre sets. Any teenager growing up in the mid 90s will attest to the unbeatable hipness of this movie. This is Shakespeare for Generation X, Y, and Z. This leaves Luhrmann free to stun his audience with the visuals.
